Our Story

Geyer Auction Companies was founded in 1955 by Ken Geyer and has continued to be family-owned and operated for the last 69 years. Originally started as a livestock auction company in Pennsylvania, Geyer Auction Companies has evolved to become a national leader in Real Estate and Business Liquidations. The company has grown to include two more generations supported by a team of 20. In 1999 Mark Akins, the nephew of Ken Geyer became president, expanding Geyer Auction Companies’ services to include Government Surplus, Heavy Equipment, Automotive Liquidations, and Vehicle and Fleet Liquidations.

Geyer Auction Companies held the largest liquidation to date on the East Coast for Garden State Park RaceTrack. The 10,000 lot liquidation spanned five days with five live auctioneers. 

With its headquarters in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, Geyer Auction Companies also is a fully licensed Real Estate Brokerage (NJ 0016896) in New Jersey, conveniently located in historic Mt. Holly. This fully staffed office is located at 219 High Street in the James Logan building on Floor Two.
